In an effort to offer more flexibility and engagement for park visitors, instead of the traditional community meeting format, this upcoming series will be more casual and a “pop-in” style. You are invited to come by any of these local establishments within that 2-hour timeframe to learn about park updates and share any feedback, all while shopping and supporting your neighborhood small business!

What is the Olmsted Community Alliance?
Purpose of the Olmsted Community Alliance (OCA)
- Build representation from every Olmsted park district
- Provide opportunities for community dialogue, feedback and input throughout the Olmsted parks
- Enhance collaboration and awareness between BOPC, park neighbors and community partners
- Increase public knowledge of BOPC’s role and mission for Buffalo’s historic landscapes
Five Year Plan: 2025-2029 | Park User Survey Data Project
The Park User Survey Data Project is instrumental in helping us assess the existing trends in park use across the Olmsted Park System. Please complete this interest form to stay updated on this park system-wide effort.

Overall Strategy and Commitment of the OCA and BOPC
- Members of the OCA and BOPC to meet at least twice a year at district-wide community meetings
- Members of the OCA to commit to sharing what they learn with their network and community
- Members of the OCA to relay feedback to and from their community to BOPC
- BOPC to communicate via email to OCA members with news, reports, updates, events, call-to-actions relating to their park district and systemwide
