Reserve a Seed Sowing/Planting appointment at the MLK Jr. Park Greenhouse
- Weekdays appointments (as listed below) are preferred as we already have staff working during these hours.
- For Saturday appointments – due to a limited resources and funding, Saturday appointments are available upon request only, and preferably the attendance of at least 2 community gardens/groups.
Seed Sowing Appointment Schedules are organized based on the planting schedule of the type of vegetable/plant. There are 5 groups:
- Feb 24-Mar 1, Group 1: Onions, Shallots, Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Leek, Perennials, Other long season/extended day bloom
- Mar 10-Mar 15, Group 2: Tomato, Eggplant, Pepper, Spinach
- Mar 24-Mar 29, Group 3: Brassicas-Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Kohlrabi, Swiss Chard, Lettuces, Thyme
- Mar 31-Apr 5, Group 4: Oregano, Parsley, Marigold, Zinnia, Other tender herbs, Cosmos, Melons, Nasturtiums
- Apr 14-Apr 19, Group 5: Basil, Cucumber, Pumpkins, Winter/Summer Squash, Sunflowers
