Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, this course offers an opportunity to learn the art of painting nature under the guidance of Michaela Worosz. In this class, you will learn how to fill your sketchbooks with experimentations, using instinct and spontaneous drawings to capture the nature around you. Discover how to observe and represent reality, breaking down landscapes into basic shapes and creating a memory of your time in this space.

Michaela Worosz (she/her) is a designer, crocheter, plein-air sketchbook painter, and the Associate Museum Educator at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

She believes drawing and painting in your sketchbook creates a snapshot, a way to freeze a fleeting moment in one picture. Drawing is a fabulous language; she loves sharing her knowledge and creativity with her students. Michaela graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a BA in Visual Art and New Media and from Buffalo State University with an MA in Museum Studies, specializing in Museum Education and Administration.
