THE STATE HAD PUSHED A “BOULEVARD” DESIGN THAT WAS TOO MUCH LIKE THE HIGHWAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO REPLACE.

The Scajaquada Corridor project was supposed to be a highway removal that would reconnect Buffalo residents with beautiful Delaware Park. The park is part of the public space network designed for Buffalo by revered landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — ASSEMBLYMAN MICKEY KEARNS ANNOUNCED THAT A TOTAL OF $500,000 IN STATE FUNDING HAS BEEN AWARDED TO THE BUFFALO OLMSTED PARKS CONSERVANCY AND THE BUFFALO & ERIE COUNTY BOTANICAL GARDENS.
